This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

I have learned that in this very unstable, chaotic world, there is one thing that remains true, real and rock solid. That is the fact that Jesus is always right there, watching over us, listening to our hearts. Things may not always go the way that we think they should, but they are and we are, right where He needs us to be.

As I watch our world deteriorate, especially over the last 10 years, I realize that my trust in Him is more important than ever.

I haven’t had any life changing moments (good or bad) that have caused this. Maybe it’s just the fact that I am getting older….or maybe even a little wiser. But I do want to take this opportunity to put this out there, that I thank God for everything He has blessed me with over the years. Everything. There but for the Grace of God go I.

I started this website for several reasons, the main reason is that it is a way to showcase some of my designs and in the same token, I can help someone else who is just beginning this journey.

I have been doing graphic design on and off for over 20 years.

It all started years ago when I went to a CompUSA store (remember those?) and I found a book in their bargain bin. This book was about 4″ thick, and it originally retailed for over $50 at the time. That was a lot of money to me back then, and they had it marked down to $10. I was thrilled with my find! I bought the book and took it home and so would begin my journey on learning how to hand code websites. Yes websites.

As I began to teach myself and build sites, I was constantly looking for images for these sites. There weren’t many “free” sites back then as the internet was still pretty new to everyone. I would spend hours and hours looking for the graphics and images that I needed and they were never exactly what I wanted.

That’s when I decided I would learn to make my own graphics. After a discussion with friend on what I was wanting to do, he installed an old version of Photoshop on my computer for me. I had never heard of Photoshop. I don’t think I slept much over the next week or so, I was addicted.

And so it began. Over the next few years, I would purchase a current version of the Adobe Suite which included Illustrator. I was new to all of this but I learned quickly. It wasn’t but a few years later, I was hired as a graphic artist for an apparel decorating company. I would have to say, that was one of the best jobs I ever had. I got to go to work each day and do something I absolutely loved….AND I got paid to do it.

But things that are beyond our control in our lives sometimes change and I had to move across the country. That was when I came to Florida.

I have been in Florida now for over 13 years. The job that I ended up with was a clerical job and I kind of put the love of creating graphics on the back burner.

Over the last couple of years, the Cricut, Silhouette, craze really took off. I was one of those afflicted with the addiction these little machines create!

I have always been an avid crafter, but what I realized recently, is that the part that I really truly enjoy, is the creating of the designs themselves. I still like to create things with my Cricut and my commercial vinyl cutter, but I LOVE to create the designs more….

Thus, this site and a couple others were born.

I hope you enjoy this site and check back often and feel free to contact me or leave comments in the comments section. I’d love to hear from you!
